She has absolutely no desire...

to tee tee on the potty, that is. I mean, not only does she not want to, the mere mention of the option drives her to hysterics! Why is that? Why does my 2 year and 3 month old daughter not want to use the "big girl potty"? Anyway, if you figure it out, let me know. I'm getting pretty jealous of my friends who have kids younger (no names mentioned, Brooks) who are going on the potty.....

Funny Conversation

OK, this is the convo I just had with my 2 year old on the way home.

Her: I had chicken nu#@....

Me: Chicken Nuggets?

Her: No, Chicken Nuts!!

What are they feeding her at school??? LOL

Yay Mavs!

Man, that was a nailbiter last night! Congrats Mavs!!!

Girls Trip!!

Can I just say that I love Mexico? Every time I visit, I don't want to come home. This time was no exception. On May 6, I left bright and early at 6 am for Puerto Vallarta, MX. It was me, my friend Traci, my mom, and two of her friends (Sandy & Linda). We got to our hotel by 9 am, and were at the pool shortly after. Needless to say, we started drinking quite early and had plenty of Cerveza's that day. Saturday night, Traci and I drug ourselves (not feeling so hot) to a cool little Mexican restaurant named Pipi's (yes, that was the real name). They make tabelside guacamole for you there -FREE! It was yummy. We got a really cute picture done there, and we shared a chimichanga. After that, we called it a night, as it had been a really long day.

Sunday we somewhat slept in, then got up and headed out to the pool. We didn't have any plans for this day, other than to relax and enjoy the warm Mexico sun. We played a little water volleyball, and again, did lots of drinking. We met a lot of nice people at the hotel. There was this super sweet family from CA. The husband was really nice and outgoing, and obviously a great dad. His little boy Cameron kept us laughing. We also scheduled our first tour, which was a snorkeling trip to the Marietas Islands for Monday. Mom and her friends laid by the pool as well.

Sunday night we went to dinner at a really nice restaurant called Le Kliff. It was in the mountains that were the backdrop to PV, so it overlooked the ocean and the city. I can't say enough about this place. It was gorgeous. There were multiple levels and the roof was made out of Palapas. Basically picture a large tiki hut, but really nice. There were not many people dining that night, which was probably a good thing! Man, those margarita's were so strong. We all got a little crazy! Before you knew it, we were talking, dancing, and taking pictures with two gentlemen from Kansas City. I was (practically) singing with the band, and we were ordering more margarita's. Oh yea, and the food was good too!!

The one on the far left was our waiter, Marco

Monday we got up bright and early to go to the marina for our snorkeling adventure. We boarded a huge catamaran and headed towards Las Marietas Islands. This was about an hour and a half boat ride. The crew briefed us of all the in's and out's of the boat as well as snorkeling & equipment. I should mention that Traci and I are the only non-couple on the boat. So, we get to our snorkeling place, put all of our stuff on, and jump into the ocean. The water was cold! We didn't see many fish, unfortunately, but we did see lots of jellyfish! We snorkeled for a few minutes, then tried our luck at a kayak. We did pretty well, I must say. After that, we all went to the little private beach that was part of the islands, and we stayed there for about 1.5 hours. Then it was back to the boat for lunch, music, dancing, and drinking! They opened up the bar and cranked up the music. The boat ride back was a blast. Myself, Traci, and a few of the crew members were the only one dancing and having a good time. There are more stories from this adventure, but you are probably getting tired of reading already. Needless to say, we had a GREAT time, and met lots of nice folks from Mexico, and one from England. Hey Emily!

Tuesday we slept in, went to the pool, then headed off to our "Canopy Los Veranos" adventure. This was a zip line tour through the jungle. It was soo cool! The longest zip line was .25 mile, and the highest was over 1500'! It was a blast, but a lot of work climbing up to each line through the mountains. As you can imagine, we had a great time here too. We met a really fun group of people who were there celebrating one of the girl's 40th birthday. On the bus ride home (in an open-air bus), the driver noticed that I was getting low on beer, and stopped at what looked to me like a little shanty to get me some more. I bought 6 Corona's and passed them out to our new friends. It was a blast. However, when we got back to the office for this tour, I left my camera there! It was only a disposable, but ALL of our pictures from the trip were on it. The concierge from the hotel was supposed to get it for me and send it to me, but I don't know if that will happen. I sure hope so though! We had to get up early the next day and leave, so I didn't have time to go get it myself. I am still bummed about that.
For some reason I can't get blogger to post my picture of me on the zip line, so I'll try again later.

~Update~ Here are some more pictures:

These first two are of me parasailing..

What's been happening

OK, so it's been a couple weeks since I have posted; and a lot has happened! Here is the run-down.

4-25 was mine and Jeff's 8 year anniversary! Holy cow, I'm too young to have been married that long! LOL. It's been 8 great years, and I know there are many more to come.

The following weekend Payton and I took the DART train to the Dallas Zoo. We had a really good time. The zoo wasn't crowded, and we got to see lots of cool animals. She was especially excited about the elephants. The giraffe's were quite pretty as well! She had fun on the train too, but I had a hard time keeping her still! The next day we went to Germanfest. I love Germanfest. We go every year. It's a big event for the lively town of Muenster, TX. We got to see some of Jeff's great cousins, who we always enjoy spending time with. They have lots of yummy food; that's almost all we did was eat! The music was good too, and Payton had fun dancing. Jeff's sisters and I were supposed to do the 5K Fun Run before the festivities, but we had stayed out a tad too late the night before, so we didn't make it in time. Cousin Daryl was a little upset with us! Anyway, here are some pictures from the zoo and G-fest.

Whoa, that's a big giraffe, Mommy!

This is a picture of Jeff, coming in 2nd place, for the second year in a row, in Nagelschlagen. The winner got $100! I was so ticked.

Next, you get to hear about my awesome trip to Mexico!!
